Shooting procedure .......................................................................................................................................................................

•  After an oral signal the competitors take their positions and prepare for shooting.

•  On the „LOAD” command the competitors load and insert magazines into their weapons.

•  On the „START” command the competitors start shooting, according to the procedure outlined above.

•  On the „STOP – UNLOAD” command the competitors unload their weapons and allow the referee to check the rifle.

•  Each shot before the „START” signal or after the „STOP” signal will result in DQ! (disqualification).

  1. The competitor shoots at one target only, following the procedure appropriate for the first, the second or the third string, using always the same weapon that was previously declared. The shooter may compete in one division only.

  2. The organiser allows a situation in which two or more competitors are using the same rifle. However, in such a case, only the first shooter's score will count in the general classification. The scores of other shooters will be in the PK group (no-ranking). Exception - “Super Magnums” division. In the “Super Magnums” divisions two shooters may use the same rifle and both be classified, on the condition that they do not shoot in subsequent squads.

  3. The rifle may be supported by (not attached to) any object brought on range by the competitor. It is permitted to use e.g. backpacks or containers as support. The whole additional equipment (without the rifle and ammunition) must weigh less than 8 kg. The equipment is subject to the referee's control.

a. It is permitted to use front support – bipod.

b. It is permitted to use rear support, both original equipment and one attached by the  competitor – e.g. monopod, used in order to enhance the stability of the rifle.

c. The front and rear support of the rifle may be connected only by means of the stock.

  4. On the firing position the competitor may have only the number of rounds specified for one string. Bringing any additional ammunition to the firing position will result in disqualification (DQ!).

  5. Malfunction of the rifle or ammunition is the competitor's concern.

  6. The weapon is brought onto the firing position in a weapon bag or case. If the competitor wishes to use it as support for the rifle, it will be subject to weighing together with the rest of the equipment.

  7. Leaving the firing position with the weapon is allowed only after unloading the rifle, subjecting it to the referee's checking procedure and inserting in the weapon bag or case. Not adhering to this rule will result in disqualification (DQ!).

  8. The course of the competitive shooting may be recorded using audio/video equipment. The material will be available only to the organizers and referees. It will not be published or distributed. It cannot be used for purposes other than the ones connected with organizing LONGSHOT 2018 Shooting Competition.

  9. Any check-ups and repairs can be performed only in the designated SAFETY AREA.

10. It is forbidden to bring live, blank or dummy ammunition to the safety area. Not adhering to this rule will result in disqualification (DQ!).

11. Moving around the shooting range with a rifle is allowed only when it is stored in a weapon bag or case.

12. In debatable cases the final decision belongs to the main referee.
